Overview

Nedaa is a prayer-time, reminder, and Qibla app. It does not require an account, show ads, use analytics, track you, or send your app settings or location to the developer.

Information stored on your device

Nedaa saves the settings it needs to work: your chosen city or coordinates, timezone, display name, calculation method, Asr madhab, high-latitude rule, Hijri adjustment, prayer offsets, reminder preferences, theme, language, onboarding state, and local notification schedule health.

This information is stored locally using app storage. Depending on your Apple device and iCloud settings, local app data may be included in backups managed by Apple.

Location permission

Nedaa works with manual location and does not require location permission.

If you choose Automatic Location, Nedaa asks for iOS When In Use location permission after an explanation screen and an explicit action. The app uses that permission to capture your current coordinates for prayer time and Qibla calculation, then stores the selected coordinates locally with your settings.

Nedaa does not request Always location access, does not track location in the background, does not reverse geocode your coordinates, does not look up your address, and does not send location data to a server.

Notifications

Prayer reminders are optional. If you enable them, Nedaa schedules local iOS notifications on your device. The developer does not receive your reminder schedule or notification history.

iOS Focus, Sleep, notification summaries, notification permissions, alert delivery settings, and the ring switch can affect whether reminders appear or play sound. Nedaa does not use Critical Alerts.

Qibla

Nedaa calculates the Qibla bearing locally from your selected location. When heading hardware and iOS authorization allow it, Nedaa may show a compass-style view. The numeric true-north bearing remains available without requiring a live heading sensor.

Third-party components

Nedaa uses Adhan Swift by Batoul Apps for offline prayer-time calculations. Nedaa also includes a bundled offline city database based on GeoNames data for on-device city search and display. These components are used locally in the app and are not used to collect data from you.

Data collection and tracking

Nedaa does not collect personal data from you for the developer. Nedaa does not track you across apps or websites. Nedaa does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, remote logging, or a backend service.

Your choices

You can change location, calculation, reminder, language, and theme settings inside Nedaa.

You can revoke Location or Notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Nedaa remains usable with manual location and notifications disabled.

You can delete Nedaa from your device to remove the app and its locally stored app data from that device. Apple-managed backups may follow Apple's own backup retention behavior.
